What CheapAI Is

An AI API proxy/reseller providing OpenAI-compatible access to Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and OpenAI-tier APIs via a single endpoint.
A volume aggregation model: pools developer usage for better rates, passes savings to customers.
Operated by a small developer team, not VC-backed or enterprise.
Payment via cryptocurrency. Plans purchased upfront; no subscription required.

What CheapAI Is Not

Not an official reseller of Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI. Not certified, authorized, or endorsed by any provider.
Not an enterprise SaaS platform. No dedicated account management, SLA contract, or 24/7 support desk.
Not optimal for all enterprise use cases. Direct provider relationships may be better for very high-volume workflows.
No SLA commitment. CheapAI does not offer a financially backed uptime guarantee.

What Is Publicly Verifiable Today

Pricing data source links. Every model entry in data/models.json links directly to the official provider pricing page. Open each URL and compare the stated rate yourself.

Proxy endpoint is live. The endpoint https://cheapai-netifly-app.up.railway.app/v1 is publicly reachable. The /v1/models route returns a model list. Any developer can test this without purchasing a plan.

Compatibility matrix with tested dates. The compatibility matrix lists integrations tested by the CheapAI team, with tested months and scopes. "Not yet tested" rows are clearly labelled separately.

GPT-5.x model pricing. CheapAI's GPT-5.x routing labels do not correspond to a verifiable, publicly named model ID on openai.com/api/pricing as of April 2026. These are internal routing labels. Savings claims for GPT models should be treated as unverified until official OpenAI model names are confirmed.

Volume of customers or transaction history. CheapAI does not publish customer counts, revenue, or transaction history. Assertions about scale or reliability should be treated as self-reported only.

How Pricing Claims Are Sourced

Official provider pricing pages are visited manually (Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, OpenAI).
The current rate per 1M input/output tokens is recorded in data/models.json with the source URL and check date.
CheapAI's rate is the amount charged from the purchased balance. The savings percentage is the difference between official rate and CheapAI rate.
For preview-tier models (Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview, Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Preview), pricing is explicitly labelled as preview and subject to change.
For GPT-5.x labels, no official matching model ID was confirmed on openai.com/api/pricing. These rows are marked as verification_status: "unverified" in the JSON.
